PostSubject: Forum rules   Fri Jun 25, 2010 5:29 am

By joining Roleplay Sanctuary you agree to follow these rules. Please keep them in mind at all times! The administration is not afraid to enforce these rules!

1. First and foremost- respect. Respect your fellow forum members and respect the administration. It's only polite, you know! Don't flame, bully and discriminate. None of it will be tolerated here at Roleplay Sanctuary.

2. Please, when posting on any Roleplay thread try your best to be literate. If you try hard enough no one will play grammar nazi. In general chats and discussions that are not a roleplay thread you're free to l33tsp3ak all you want. <3

3. Keep cursing to a minimum. We here at Roleplay Sanctuary understand that in roleplay characters might cuss and say crude things but try to refrain from that in other areas of the forums, please. :3 If we feel that you're cursing too much we will give you a warning. As of right now there is no filter to prevent cursing so please do not abuse it. If it does get abused a filter system will be put into place and if that is the case cheating the filter will not be allowed.

4. Roleplay and discussions should be kept to a Pg-13 level. This means that excessive violence or sexual based content should never be posted. If a post is found to have broken this rule it will be removed immediately and the user will be given a warning. However, there are some things the admin will be lenient about such as funny images and jokes.

5. Spam is meant for only two places and those places are plates and the spam forum. Keep them there.

6. Double posting tends to make a thread look tacky. If you must add to a thread that has yet to be replied to under your most recent post just edit the post and include a small note to say it was edited. This will keep the forums looking nice!

7. Be polite to our forums and don't advertise things, both legal and illegal. Unless, of course, you're advertising the newest sale on Steam. I think we can forgive you if you did that. You are not allowed to make money by using this forum and breaking the law on this forum is not allowed.

8. No hacking. Ever. Guessing someone's password counts as hacking. Those who freely give out their usernames and password will be dealt with as well. Hacking results in an instant ban. We will not tolerate it here on Roleplay Sanctuary.

9. Be careful about posting personal info. Remember, if you're posting your last name, address and social security number (and I seriously hope you don't plan on posting that) that becomes public knowledge to everyone on the board. For your safety it's best to refrain from posting too much about yourself on the forums.

10. There are no excuses for breaking the rules. It doesn't matter if you were angry at the time and weren't thinking straight. It doesn't matter if you were only kidding around. If you break a rule, it does the same damage, regardless of your reasons for breaking it, and you will be punished all the same.

11. Staff abuse will not be tolerated. As a staff member, your job is to help the members of the forum, not harm them. You may only use your powers for the purposes that they have been given to you for. It's a high offense for a staff member to abuse their power and we will not be kind about it. This means that if you abuse your powers, there is a good chance you will be permanently banned.

12. Harassing the administration about punishments is not allowed. The admins are only trying to do their job, and many times they have to make difficult decisions.

13. Threatening to leave the board, threatening other forum members and threatening the staff will not be tolerated. You might ask why threatening to leave the board will not be allowed but doing so invites flaming and we want to avoid that!

14. If you have a problem that needs to be dealt with please approach a staff member about it and it will be worked out accordingly. Trying to take matters into your own hands might make things a bit hectic and creates more problems than what was started with most times.

15. Above all else, have fun. :3 We're here to create a fun and friendly environment!

Yes, there are a lot of rules but we feel they are necessary! New rules will likely be added and old rules will probably be edited at any time to make sure everything is covered that needs to be. Thank you! <3
